The Grade 12 results are out. This is where to check yours.
The Ministry announced the result on 22 August 2026, and it reaches students on 24 or 25 August. There are three official routes and no fourth one.
The three official ways to check
All three need your registration number exactly as it appears on your admission card, leading zeros included.
The EAES Telegram bot
Works on a small data bundle
Usually the route that survives release-day traffic best, and it works on a small data bundle when the portal will not load. Open it from this link rather than searching for it: handles a letter away belong to accounts with nothing to do with the assessment service.

Works without internet
Send your registration number to the short code. No data bundle and no app, so it works on any phone in the house.

Needs internet and is slow today
Expect it to be slow or unreachable for the first few hours, because half a million people are refreshing it at once. The same service also answers at result.neaea.gov.et.

Nobody has your score before those three do
The week a result is released is the week the fake result pages come back, asking for a registration number, a phone number or a payment in exchange for an early look. No third party gets the scores first, and that includes us. A card claiming a national pass rate of 93 percent was going around a day before the real announcement.

Whatever your result says, the next exam is already on the shelf
Most of the students who sat this paper will sit another one: the remedial programme, the 2019 E.C. sitting, or a Grade 6 or Grade 8 exam in the same house. An account opens all of this, on the phone you are reading this on.

The national textbooks in Amharic, Afaan Oromoo and English, so the reader meets the book in their own language first.
40+
Past national exam papers
Real Grade 12 entrance papers from 2005 to 2018 E.C., with answer keys, a worked explanation for each one and a free PDF of every paper.
An AI tutor that speaks Amharic, Afaan Oromoo and English
Ask in your own words and it walks you through the step you missed instead of handing over the answer. A few questions a day come with the free account.
The notes, the videos, the practice, the past papers and the mock papers are free. All of it opens on a small data bundle, and it installs on the phone like an app.
Which exam is next for you
One account carries all three, so a family with a Grade 12 and a Grade 8 in it only signs up once.

What happens next
Two of these dates are the Minister's own words rather than a published timetable, so they are written here as they were given.
- 1
Read the subject breakdown, not only the total
A complaint has to name the paper you are questioning, so go through it line by line before you decide anything.
- 2
File a complaint within five or six days
The window opens when results are released. The Minister did not fix the day it closes, and after it the score stands.
- 3
Wait for the remedial cut-off
More candidates passed this year, so the remedial intake will be smaller. The mark that decides it has not been set, and the Ministry said it would come separately.
- 4
Watch for the university call
Addis Ababa University and the science and technology universities admit first, and the rest follow. The Ministry wants classes to start on Meskerem 5, which is 15 September 2026.
Get a text when the rest is announced
The remedial cut-off mark and the university placement have not been announced yet. Leave your name and number, and we will text you as soon as each one is, in the language you are reading.
Start tonight, on the phone in your hand
You do not need to be at a school that uses Temari, and you do not need a computer. Create the account, pick your grade, and the first paper is waiting.
A phone number and about a minute.
