When and where will Ambo University register remedial students?
Tikvah University reported on Tikimt 28, 2019 E.C. (7 November 2026) that Ambo University will register students placed in its 2019 E.C. remedial programme on Hidar 7 and 8, 2019 E.C. (16 and 17 November 2026). The university's notice gave the place as Hachalu Hundessa campus.
An earlier notice, dated Tikimt 27, 2019 E.C. (6 November 2026), had said only that students would be called soon, and asked them to wait until the admission and registration period was announced. The dates came in the later notice.
Which students does this affect?
The notice is for students newly placed at Ambo University in the 2019 E.C. remedial programme. It names Hachalu Hundessa campus for students in the social and natural science fields, and does not name a campus for students in other fields.
The earlier notice also said that remedial students re-assigned to Ambo University from Jinka University would be called. The dated notice does not say whether they register on the same days, so they should wait for the university's call.
What are the dates, and what must you bring?
| Day | Date in both calendars |
|---|---|
| First day | Hidar 7, 2019 E.C. (16 November 2026) |
| Second day | Hidar 8, 2019 E.C. (17 November 2026) |
Bring these to registration
- The original and a copy of your Grade 8 certificate
- The original and a copy of your Grade 9 to 12 transcripts
- The original and a copy of your Grade 12 certificate
- Four photographs, 3 by 4 in size
- Bedding: a sheet, a blanket and a pillow cover
- Sports clothes
The notice does not give the hours of each day or any fee. These have not been announced.
What should you do now?
Prepare your documents
Gather the originals and copies listed above, and the four photographs, before the first day.
Plan the journey
Arrange travel to Hachalu Hundessa campus for both days and, if you need one, a place to stay nearby.
Watch for the Jinka call
If you were re-assigned from Jinka University, wait for the university's own call before you travel, and confirm the dates with it.
How did the registration come to these dates?
Remedial students were placed at Ambo University before the registration dates were known. The university first said a call would come soon, then named the dates and documents in the notice that Tikvah University reported.
