The whole school
Several campuses, one school
Each branch keeps its own classes, gate, register and fees. The principal and the school admin see the whole school at once and act on any branch from wherever they are.
Why branches break most school systems
Ethiopian private schools grow by opening campuses: a kindergarten across the road, an elementary in the next sub-city, a high school on its own compound. Most school systems were built for one building. Each campus ends up with its own login, its own Excel files and its own count of students, and the owner adds them up by hand at the end of the month.
Temari treats the branch as a real part of the school. Each branch has its own grades, classes, register, period schedules and gate reader, and its director works inside it. Above the branches sits the school, which owns the policy, the bank accounts and the people who run all of it.
That split lets each campus run its own day while the school still sees one picture. The principal opens the dashboard and reads every branch at once, then narrows to one when something needs attention.
capabilities
One view of every branch
Lists, dashboards and reports open across all branches or narrow to one or a few. A principal never signs out of one campus to look at another.
Work on any branch from one place
A school-wide manager registers a student, records a payment or approves leave at any branch by naming the branch in the form.
Policy for the school, settings per branch
The school sets its rules once. A branch changes only what is different for it, such as its gate hours or the day it releases results.
Students move between campuses
Promote a class into a sister branch that runs the next grade, or move a student in the middle of the year. Their marks go with them.
How a school with branches runs
- 1
Set up the branches
Each campus is added as a branch with its grades, classes and period schedules.
- 2
Give people their place
Directors, teachers and office roles belong to one branch. The principal, the school admin and a senior accountant work across all of them.
- 3
Set policy once
School-wide rules apply everywhere, and a branch changes only what is different for it.
- 4
Read the whole school
Dashboards and reports show every branch together or one at a time, from the same screen.
Working across branches without switching
A principal or school admin can work in an All branches view. Every list there shows each row with its branch, and filters narrow it to one campus or a few. Registering a student, recording a fee or approving a request asks which branch it belongs to, so a manager in the main office can act for any campus without signing in anywhere else.
The same person can also hold a role inside one branch. A director who also teaches gets a Director view and a Teacher view for that campus and works as one of them at a time, and the screen always shows which role is in use.
A school that wants one accountant over every campus gives that person the senior accountant role. They record payments and keep the books at every branch, and they cannot change the school's settings or decide who holds which role.
One policy, with exceptions branch by branch
Some decisions belong to the whole school: whether directors may see the money side, the sibling and employee-child discounts, how results reach families. The school sets them once and every branch follows.
Where a campus really is different, its branch setting wins. The kindergarten's gate can open later than the high school's, one branch can publish results on a different day, and a director can ask for a text when their gate reader's battery runs low. Anything a branch leaves alone follows the school.
Bank accounts work the same way. The school owns its accounts and switches each one on for the branches that collect into it, so every payment records which account received it.
Students who move between campuses
Many schools run kindergarten at one branch and elementary at another. At the end of the year the promotion board knows which branch runs the next grade and suggests it, and the move into the sister branch happens with the rest of the year's promotions.
A student who changes campus during the year moves in one step. The enrollment closes at the old branch and opens at the new one, and the marks already earned this semester are carried into the new class's sheets. The family is told in the app.
Branches on one compound can share a gate. A gate reader can admit the student cards of the sister branches beside it, so a child from the elementary who walks in through the high school gate is still recorded.

- Bank accounts owned by the school and switched on branch by branch
- A gate reader that admits the students of sister branches on a shared compound
- Each branch with its own grades, classes and period schedules
- Directors who see their own branch, and a principal who sees them all
Common questions
Does each branch need its own account?
No. The branches are part of one school on Temari. Each person signs in once and sees the branches their role covers.
Can a director see other branches?
A director works in their own branch. The principal and the school admin see every branch, and a senior accountant sees the money side of every branch.
Can each branch keep different hours?
Yes. Period schedules and timetables are set per branch, and each branch can have its own arrival and late times at the gate for students and employees.
How do students move from our kindergarten branch to the elementary?
Through the year-end promotion board. It knows which branch runs the next grade, suggests that branch, and opens the new enrollment there when the promotions are carried out.
Can we see the fees collected across all branches?
Yes. Finance lists and reports open for the whole school or narrow to one branch or a few, so the owner reads one total and a branch accountant reads their own.
Do teachers who work at two branches need two accounts?
No. One account can hold a role at each branch, and the person switches between them from the menu.
Does adding a branch cost more?
No. The price is per student, so a new branch adds only its own students.
