Who is called, and where they register
The notice covers newly placed 2019 E.C. first-year regular students, students who passed the 2018 E.C. remedial programme, and new postgraduate students. All three arrive on Tikimt 4 and 5, 2019 E.C. They register at different places:
- Social science students: the Maraki campus.
- Natural science students: the Atse Tewodros campus.
- Postgraduate students: the assistant registrar offices on their campus.
What new first-degree students should bring
- Your Grade 9 to 12 transcript, the original and a copy.
- Your Grade 12 certificate, the original and a copy.
- Four 3x4 photographs.
- Bedsheets, a blanket, a pillowcase and sports clothes.
The online registration, step by step
The university attached a sheet of steps for first-degree regular students. In short:
- 1Type registration.uog.edu.et into your browser and choose New Registration.
- 2Choose Create Account at the top right. Enter your first, father's and grandfather's names, sex, mobile number, email and a password. Your name must be the same as on your Grade 12 certificate.
- 3Open the activation link the system sends you. When the account is active it shows Success. Then log in with your email and password.
- 4Choose New Registration again. In the section for regular Grade 12 Ministry students, enter your names, sex, admission number and total mark, then choose Submit and Continue.
- 5Fill in each page and choose Save and Next: basic information, nationality, home and birth address, father, mother and an emergency contact, the schools you attended, and every subject and mark from your Grade 12 exam.
- 6Tick the boxes for any education or employment so far, or go on if there is none. Then attach your files, each no larger than 2 MB.
The image of the steps ends at attaching files. Ask the university what comes after it, and about the postgraduate process, which the notice does not describe.
