What did Dire Dawa University announce?
Tikvah University reported on Meskerem 28, 2019 E.C. (8 October 2026) that Dire Dawa University had set registration for Tikimt 7 and 8, 2019 E.C. (17 and 18 October 2026). Tikvah Education posted the same notice on its own channel the same day.
The notice also gives a briefing day on Tikimt 9, 2019 E.C. (19 October 2026), and re-admission applications on Tikimt 10 and 11, 2019 E.C. (20 and 21 October 2026). The Tikvah Education version lists the briefing day. The Tikvah University version does not mention it.
Which students does this affect?
Registration covers two groups: new first-year students placed at Dire Dawa University for the 2019 E.C. academic year, and students who passed the university's 2018 E.C. remedial programme. Both groups must report in person on the same two days.
Re-admission covers a narrower group. According to the notice, it is for students who left their first year, first semester for various reasons, have a result that qualifies them for re-admission, and have filled in the re-admission form. The notice does not say how many places are available.

The notice does not give the registration hours, the fee or the place on campus, and neither channel has announced them.

The Tikvah Education version also asks for the Grade 8 card, original and copy. The Tikvah University notice does not mention it, so confirm with the university whether you need it before you travel.

Collect the transcript, certificate, photographs, national ID and the bedding and clothes listed above, with originals and copies ready.
Arrive on the right days
Plan to report on Tikimt 7 or 8. The notices say that students who come before or after these days will not be admitted.
Confirm the details
The notices do not give the hours, the fee or the campus location. Check the university's own channels before you travel to Dire Dawa.
How were these dates set?
The notice covers the 2019 E.C. academic year and the university's 2018 E.C. remedial programme. The sources do not explain why these days were chosen, and neither version gives the number of students expected to register. Students who had left their studies are dealt with through re-admission, on Tikimt 10 and 11, 2019 E.C. (20 and 21 October 2026).
