What did Mattu University announce?
Tikvah University reported on Meskerem 28, 2019 E.C. (8 October 2026) that Mattu University will hold registration for the 2019 E.C. academic year on Tikimt 9 and 10, 2019 E.C. (19 and 20 October 2026). Tikvah Education published the same notice on the same day.
The notice covers two groups: first-year regular students newly placed at Mattu University by the Ministry of Education in 2019 E.C., and students who passed the remedial programme at the university in 2018 E.C.
Who registers at Bedele campus, and who at the main campus?
The campus rule applies to students who did their 2018 E.C. remedial programme at Bedele campus and were placed by the Ministry in 2019 E.C. If they study natural or social science and their surname starts with A to B, they register at Bedele campus.
The notice says that the registration of other students takes place at the main campus. It does not explain how the rule applies to students of other fields or to students from other campuses, so ask the university before you travel.
When is registration, and what must you bring?
| Day | Date in both calendars |
|---|---|
| First registration day | Tikimt 9, 2019 E.C. (19 October 2026) |
| Second registration day | Tikimt 10, 2019 E.C. (20 October 2026) |
The notice asks students to bring the following:
To bring to registration
- Education certificates from grade 8 to 12, originals and copies
- National identity card (Fayda)
- Four 3X4 photographs
- A bedsheet, a blanket, a pillowcase and sports clothing
The notice does not give a registration fee, the opening hours or the exact place within each campus. These have not been announced.
What should you do before the registration days?
Confirm your campus
Check whether the rule above makes you a Bedele campus student. If you are not sure, ask the university before you travel.
Prepare your documents
Gather your grade 8 to 12 certificates in original and copy, your Fayda ID, four 3X4 photographs and the bedding and clothing listed.
Follow the university's notices
Watch Mattu University's official channels for the fee and opening hours, which the notice has not yet given.
How does this registration connect to earlier steps?
The notice ties this registration to two earlier steps: the Ministry of Education's 2019 E.C. placement of new students at Mattu University, and the remedial programme that students completed at the university in 2018 E.C. The sources mention no earlier decision on this round.
