When is registration for the 2019 E.C. intake?
Wolaita Sodo University announced its 2019 E.C. registration dates in a notice that Tikvah University and Tikvah Education both posted on Meskerem 28, 2019 E.C. (8 October 2026). The two posts carry the same text.
The university set registration for Tikimt 9 and 10, 2019 E.C. (19 and 20 October 2026). The notice does not give the hours of each day.
Which students does this affect?
The notice covers three groups. The first is new regular first-degree students placed by the Ministry of Education for 2019 E.C. The second is students who completed their remedial programme at Wolaita Sodo University in 2018 E.C. and passed. The third is natural science students placed by the Ministry, who are assigned to a campus by surname.
Remedial students placed for 2019 E.C. are a separate group. The university says it will announce their registration time in a later notice, so they have no date yet.
Where do you register, and what do you bring?
| Group | Campus | Registration days |
|---|---|---|
| Natural science students, surname A to S | Main campus | Tikimt 9 and 10, 2019 E.C. (19 and 20 October 2026) |
| Natural science students, surname T to Z | Dawro-Tarcha campus | Tikimt 9 and 10, 2019 E.C. (19 and 20 October 2026) |
| 2018 E.C. remedial passers | The campus where you took remedial | Tikimt 9 and 10, 2019 E.C. (19 and 20 October 2026) |
| 2019 E.C. remedial students | Not announced | Not announced; the university will publish a later notice |
The notice does not name a campus for other first-degree students, so it does not say where they register.

What rule applies to remedial students?
The notice says that students who completed remedial at Wolaita Sodo University in 2018 E.C. with a passing result register at the campus where they took that programme. New first-degree students and natural science students were placed by the Ministry of Education for 2019 E.C., and the notice sets their campus by surname.
The notice does not say when the Ministry's placement results were published or how many students were placed.
