What is FAWE offering?
FAWE Ethiopia and FAWE Africa, working with the MasterCard Foundation, are inviting young people aged 15 to 25 to apply for higher education support. The support covers money, education and training, and social help. The education part pays for courses in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) at TVET level 4 and 5, which are taught at technical and vocational colleges.
Tikvah Ethiopia's Telegram channel carried the notice on Tikimt 12, 2019 E.C. (22 October 2026). The post says that registration and selection are free of any payment, and it warns that applications arriving after the closing date will not be accepted.
Who can apply, and at which colleges?
The support is aimed at young people aged 15 to 25. The post says it is especially meant for women from low-income households, young people with disabilities, people displaced within Ethiopia, and refugees from other countries.
According to the post, the courses are given at these colleges:
- Addis Ababa: General Wingate Polytechnic College and Addis Ababa Tegbare Ed Polytechnic College
- Adama: Adama Polytechnic College
- Hawassa: Hawassa Polytechnic College and Hawassa Tegbare Ed Polytechnic College
