When you use it

Use punching to clear a crossed ball in a crowded goal area when you are not sure you can catch it cleanly. Punching is the clearing action for balls that cannot be caught.

Watch out

Catch the ball whenever you can, and punch only when you doubt a clean catch. Students practise the two-hand punch, even though one hand is also used in some directions.

  3. C.The goalkeeper
  4. D.The team captain only

  3. C.Height and distance
  4. D.Passing and dribbling

Question 4

In the basic static position, where should a goalkeeper's weight be?

  1. A.On the heels
  2. B.On the balls of the feet
  3. C.Fully on one leg
  4. D.On the back
Show the answer and why

Answer: B On the balls of the feet
