What the test covers
The notice says the test measures general knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, English, Mathematics and Physics at the level of Grades 9 to 12, and asks the listed applicants to prepare on that basis.
The list that comes with the notice runs to 70 names over three pages, under the heading "List of Applicant for AASTU 2019 EC CEP Undergraduate Program Allowed to Sit for Entrance Examination". Every row gives COC, the certificate of competence from technical and vocational training, as where the applicant comes from. The list is in the source post below; we have not copied the names here.
Applicants who are not on the list
They register without an entrance test. The university asks them to follow its next notice on the continuing education programme's Telegram channel, t.me/cep_aastu.
Only two fields have enough applicants
The notice sets the minimum class at fifty (50) students per department. Applicants who chose any field other than Electrical and Computer Engineering or Software Engineering applied to a department with fewer applicants than it needs to open. The university tells them they can change their choice and study Electrical and Computer Engineering or Software Engineering instead.
How the regular entrance test for Addis Ababa Science and Technology and Adama Science and Technology ran is in Two science and technology universities have opened entrance test registration.
