What has Gambella University announced?
Tikvah University reported on Tikimt 18, 2019 E.C. (28 October 2026) that Gambella University has told new students and remedial students when to report for the 2019 academic year. Tikvah Education posted the same notice the same day, and both posts repeat the university's announcement.
The university set the entry days as Tikimt 26 and 27, 2019 E.C. (5 and 6 November 2026).
The notice says classes will begin on Monday, Tikimt 30, 2019 E.C. (9 November 2026). The source gives that start date only in the Ethiopian calendar, so the Gregorian date is counted from it.
Which students must report?
The notice covers three groups: new undergraduate students placed in regular programmes, students who completed the 2018 remedial programme and reached the passing mark, and students newly placed in the 2019 remedial programme.
Neither post says whether continuing students or postgraduate students must report on these days.

Every student must bring a taxpayer identification number (TIN) and a Fayda ID when travelling to the university. The posts do not give the reporting hours, the place on campus, or any fee, and they do not say whether students must register online first. These have not been announced.
