What did Haramaya University announce?
Tikvah University reported on Tikimt 17, 2019 E.C. (27 October 2026), citing a notice from Haramaya University, that students from universities in the Tigray region who have finished their second semester have been placed there temporarily. They will continue their 2019 E.C. studies at Haramaya, and the university has set the reporting days for Tikimt 21 and 22, 2019 E.C. (31 October and 1 November 2026).
The university said that the programmes listed in an image attached to its notice cannot accept these students. Students who studied in those fields should not travel to Haramaya, the notice says. The list itself is in the image, and the report does not reproduce it.
Which students does this notice cover?
The notice covers students who completed their second semester at universities in the Tigray region and were placed at Haramaya for the next part of their 2019 E.C. studies. Students in the programmes named on the attached list are not placed there. The report does not say how many students are involved or which universities they come from.
