What did Madda Walabu University announce?
Tikvah University and Tikvah Education both posted the university's notice on Meskerem 30, 2019 E.C. (10 October 2026). The notice says that registration for students placed in the regular programme for 2019, and for students who studied the 2018 remedial programme and reached the university entry mark, falls on Tikimt 9 and 10, 2019 E.C. (19 and 20 October 2026).
The university says classes begin on Tikimt 11, 2019 E.C. (21 October 2026). The notice names the university's main campus as the place to register.
Which students does this affect?
The notice covers two groups. The first is new students placed at Madda Walabu University in the regular programme for 2019. The second is students who studied the 2018 remedial programme and reached the university entry mark.
Remedial students placed at the university in 2019 are a separate group. The notice does not give them a registration date, and says the university will announce their entry dates later.

What should you do now?
Check your group
Confirm whether you are a new student in the regular programme, a 2018 remedial student who reached the entry mark, or a 2019 remedial student waiting for a date.
Gather your documents
Prepare your Fayda ID, your education certificates with copies, a passport-size photograph and your bedding before Tikimt 9, 2019 E.C.
Register on the right day
Go to the main campus on Tikimt 9 or 10, 2019 E.C. (19 or 20 October 2026). The notice does not say which day each group registers, so ask the university if you are unsure. Watch for the entry date for 2019 remedial students.
What came before this notice?
The notice refers to students who studied the 2018 remedial programme and reached the university entry mark, and to students placed in the regular programme for 2019. It does not describe how those placements or entry marks were set.
Other universities are registering in the same days. Dambi Dollo University also registers new first-year and 2018 remedial pass students on Tikimt 9 and 10, 2019 E.C.; see Dambi Dollo University registration: Tikimt 9 and 10.
