What did Wollo University announce?
Tikvah Education reported on Meskerem 30, 2019 E.C. (10 October 2026) that Wollo University will register students who passed the 2018 capacity-improvement exam and were placed directly at the university for 2019. Tikvah University reported the same day that the registration also covers students newly placed in the regular programme for 2019, and students who followed the 2018 remedial programme and reached the university entry mark.
Both posts give the same two days, Tikimt 14 and 15, 2019 E.C. (24 and 25 October 2026), and both repeat a notice from the university's main registrar office.
Which students register at Dessie, and which at Kombolcha?
The notice covers first-year students of the 2019 intake and students who reached the entry mark through the remedial route. Both posts send students to one of two campuses.
- Natural science students: Dessie campus.
- Social science students whose names begin with A or K: Dessie campus.
- All blind students, whatever their programme: Dessie campus.
- All other social science students: Kombolcha campus.
The posts do not say how students of any other programme are placed.
