What has Adama Science and Technology University announced?
Tikvah University reported on Tikimt 25, 2019 E.C. (4 November 2026) that Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) has set reporting days for students from universities in the Tigray region. The students have been placed at ASTU temporarily so that they can continue their studies there in the fields the notice lists.
The university set two reporting days, Tikimt 30 and Hidar 1, 2019 E.C. (9 and 10 November 2026). The repost names five fields: Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Software Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
Which students does this affect?
The notice is for students from Tigray universities who were placed at ASTU in these five fields. Students in other fields, and students who did not receive a placement, are not mentioned in the report.
The report does not say which Tigray universities these students came from, how many students were placed, or how long the temporary placement will last.
When must you report, and what should you bring?
| Reporting day | Date in both calendars |
|---|---|
| First day | Tikimt 30, 2019 E.C. (9 November 2026) |
| Second day | Hidar 1, 2019 E.C. (10 November 2026) |

- Your national ID

The notice, as reposted, does not give a fee, the hours of reporting or the building where students should go. These have not been announced.

Gather your documents

Why are these students placed at ASTU?
The notice describes the placement as temporary. The repost does not give the reason for it, does not say when it will end, and does not name the Tigray universities the students came from.
