What did Haramaya University announce?
On Tikimt 11, 2019 E.C. (21 October 2026), Haramaya University announced that students placed in its remedial programme for 2019 E.C. had been transferred to Oda Bultum University. Tikvah University and Tikvah Education both carried the notice on the same day, with the same wording.
The university said the move followed a reassignment by the Ministry of Education. The reason it gave was a large number of first-year regular students placed at Haramaya. The notice does not say how many remedial students were moved, and it does not give the date of the ministry's reassignment.
Which students does this affect?
