What did Jimma University announce?
Jimma University announced that students temporarily assigned to it by the Ministry of Education from universities in the Tigray region will register on Tikimt 19 and 20, 2019 E.C. (29 and 30 October 2026). Tikvah University and Tikvah Education both published the notice on Tikimt 15, 2019 E.C. (25 October 2026).
The notice splits registration across three campuses, one for each group of faculties. The reports do not say why the Ministry placed these students at Jimma, and they do not explain the placement any further.
