Who this is for
Students who sat the Grade 12 national exam in 2018 E.C. and whose result falls in the band that leads to the remedial programme rather than straight to university. The mark that puts a student in that band is in the remedial entry mark. It is a different group from the students who spent 2018 E.C. in the remedial programme and sat its exit exam in June, whose results are in the remedial results item.
How to make the choice
The preferences page sits on the same portal the Grade 12 passers used for their own choice at the start of September. How that portal signed them in, and what its ranking words mean, are set out in choosing a university and a field; the notice for remedial students does not say whether anything differs for them. Type the address yourself: student.ethernet.edu.et/preferences.
What comes after
The Ministry places remedial students after the window closes and has not said when. The university placement it published on 16 September covered only students who passed directly, and it is in university placement is out.
