What did Wallaga University announce?
Wallaga University set registration for two groups of students on Tikimt 9 and 10, 2019 E.C. (19 and 20 October 2026). Tikvah University and Tikvah Education both carried the notice on Meskerem 29, 2019 E.C. (9 October 2026), and the two posts carry the same text.
The notice says the entry date for 2019 remedial students assigned to Wallaga University will be announced later, in a separate notice. No date for that group is given yet.
Which students does this affect?
The notice covers new first-year students assigned to Wallaga University for 2019 E.C. It also covers students who followed their remedial programme at Wallaga University in 2018 E.C. and reached the passing mark.
Remedial students assigned to Wallaga University for 2019 E.C. are not given a registration day in this notice. Their entry date will come later.
When and where do you register, and what do you bring?
| Group | Registration day | Place |
|---|---|---|
| New first-year students assigned for 2019 E.C. | Tikimt 9 and 10, 2019 E.C. (19 and 20 October 2026) | Main campus, Nekemte campus |
| Remedial students who passed in 2018 E.C. | Tikimt 9 and 10, 2019 E.C. (19 and 20 October 2026) | The campus where they studied remedial |
The notice lists these documents for registration:
Documents to bring
- Grade 8 and grade 12 cards, the originals and copies
- Grade 9 to 12 transcript, the original and a copy
- Four photographs, 3 by 4 size
- A bed sheet, nightclothes, a pillow cover and sports clothes
The notice does not give a registration fee or the hours of registration.
What should you do now?
Confirm your group
Check whether you are a new first-year student assigned for 2019 E.C. or a remedial student who passed in 2018 E.C.
Prepare your documents
Gather the cards, transcript, photographs and bedding listed above, with the originals and a copy of each.
Plan your campus
New students travel to the Nekemte campus. Remedial students go to the campus where they studied.
Watch for the remedial date
Follow the university's later notice for the entry date of the 2019 remedial students.
What came before this notice?
The second group are students who took their remedial programme at Wallaga University in 2018 E.C. and reached the passing mark. The notice ties their registration to the campus where they studied, so the two groups register in different places.
Both posts are Telegram posts from Tikvah channels, dated Meskerem 29, 2019 E.C. (9 October 2026). They carry the same days, places and documents, so both groups see the same list.
