What has the university announced?
Adigrat University has announced that continuing students in its 2019 regular programme must register in person at the university's main registrar office on Tikimt 23 and 24, 2019 E.C. (2 and 3 November 2026). Tikvah Education reported the notice on Tikimt 3, 2019 E.C. (13 October 2026), and Tikvah University posted the same registration dates the same day.
Tikvah Education's post adds that the university will not accept students who come before or after those two days, and that classes are due to start on Tikimt 26, 2019 E.C. (5 November 2026). Tikvah University's post gives the same start date for classes and asks students to register only on the named days.
Which students does this affect?
The notice covers continuing students, meaning those already studying at Adigrat University in the regular programme in the 2019 academic year. Both posts ask them to be present at the registrar office, and neither report mentions online or proxy registration.
The reports do not say whether new students or students in other programmes are covered. Those groups should check with the university before they plan their travel.
When is registration, and what do you need?
| Event | Date in both calendars |
|---|---|
| Registration, first day | Tikimt 23, 2019 E.C. (2 November 2026) |
| Registration, second day | Tikimt 24, 2019 E.C. (3 November 2026) |
| Classes begin | Tikimt 26, 2019 E.C. (5 November 2026) |
Neither report names the documents to bring, any fee or the opening hours for the two registration days. Tikvah Education's post says the university will not accept students who register before or after the dates, so the two named days are the only ones to plan for.
What should continuing students do now?
Be at the registrar on the right day
Attend the main registrar office in person on Tikimt 23 or 24 (2 or 3 November 2026), and do not register on any other day.
Ask for the details
Ask the university directly for the opening hours, the documents to bring and whether any fee applies, since the reports do not give them.
Prepare for classes
Classes are due to start on Tikimt 26, 2019 E.C. (5 November 2026), so arrange your timetable and travel around that date.
What has come before this notice?
The reports point to no earlier decision, previous registration round or figures, so there is no earlier story to link. The dates fall in Tikimt, the second month of the Ethiopian year 2019, with registration on Tikimt 23 and 24 and classes due to start on Tikimt 26.
