What did the university announce?
Mizan-Tepi University announced registration for the 2019 academic year, as reported by Tikvah University and Tikvah Education on Meskerem 27, 2019 E.C. (7 October 2026). The notice gives Tikimt 9 and 10, 2019 E.C. (19 and 20 October 2026) as the two registration days.
The university places each student in a field of study, and the registration location follows that field. Both reports carry the same notice and agree on the campuses and the list of documents.
Which students does this affect?
The registration covers two groups: new regular first-degree students assigned to Mizan-Tepi University for 2019 E.C., and students who passed the 2018 E.C. remedial programme at the university.
Students assigned to the remedial programme at Mizan-Tepi University are not given a date in this notice. The university says a registration period for them will be announced in a separate call.
Key dates and what to bring
| Day | Date in both calendars |
|---|---|
| First day | Tikimt 9, 2019 E.C. (19 October 2026) |
| Second day | Tikimt 10, 2019 E.C. (20 October 2026) |
Documents to bring
- The original and three copies of your Grade 12 exam result
- The original and three copies of your transcripts for Grades 9 to 12
- Nine recent 3X4 photographs
- A blanket, a bedsheet, a pillowcase and sports clothes
The reports do not give a registration fee, the hours of each day or the forms to fill in, so these have not been announced.
What should you do next?
Confirm your field and campus
Check whether you were placed in social science or natural science, and go to Mizan Aman or the Tepi campus accordingly.
Gather your documents
Prepare the originals and copies listed above before the first day.
Watch for the remedial call
If you were assigned to the remedial programme, follow the university's separate call for a registration period.
How does registration follow from placement?
Registration follows the university's assignment of students to fields and campuses for 2019 E.C. A student placed in a field and a campus registers at that campus, which is why the notice splits the two fields between Mizan Aman and Tepi.
Tikvah University and Tikvah Education both reported the notice on 7 October 2026 (Meskerem 27, 2019 E.C.). The reports give no earlier decision and no figures from last year's registration.
