What did Bahir Dar University announce?
Tikvah University reported on Meskerem 27, 2019 E.C. (7 October 2026) that Bahir Dar University had announced the registration dates for the 2019 academic year. Tikvah Education carried the same notice on the same day.
The university set two registration days for new students and for 2018 remedial students who passed into the Freshman Program. It also set a separate window for readmission applications, on Tikimt 16 and 17, 2019 E.C. (26 and 27 October 2026).
Which students does this affect?
The registration days cover new first degree regular students assigned to Bahir Dar University in 2019. They also cover students who took their remedial course at the university in 2018 and reached the pass result needed to join the Freshman Program.
The readmission window is narrower. It applies to students who left their first year, first semester for a reason, have the result that allows readmission, and have filled in the readmission form. The notice does not say which other students are covered.
